-THE BORACAY ISLAND LIFE-

Recently hailed as the most beautiful library in the world by the 1000 Libraries community, the Library of Trinity College Dublin includes one of its best known spaces, the Long Room.

Built between 1712 and 1732, the Long Room holds about two hundred thousand of the libraryโ€™s oldest books.

Its tall barrel ceiling, added in 1860, and its long row of marble busts give the nearly two hundred foot hall its distinct character.

As well as having been a teacher 23 years (quit in 2000), I'm also a trained librarian (before 2000 too). Yep, I'd use microfiche reader for retrieving book info to type up (on a manual typewriter) the cards for library catalogues (in those long drawers) which visitors would use to search for books (using Dewey system). ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿงก

I got to visit sections in state libraries that general public could not enter. Amazing collections of old books we could only handle with gloves. This librarian Ireland would be heaven to visit. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿงก
