In honor of tax day, here is the tax structure I support. 20% consumption tax on everyone. Businesses and individuals. 10% for completely made in the USA items. Do away with the IRS. I don’t see tax ever going away, so this is a structure I could get behind. If you save money, it’s not taxed. The more you spend, the more you pay. No tax on investments, including property. Reward for bringing manufacturing back to the US, which will increase consumption in the long run because of jobs and money. Will it work? I don’t know, but it makes sense to my simple mind.
