Is it so hard to just stack sats and keep em in self custody? BTC treasury companies, BTC ETFs, and other such products are overly at the very least and scams at the most. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

In my honest opinion, people who have Bitcoin but no self-custody, just do not get Bitcoin. To them its just another investment vehicle.
