…Murray Rothbard would be proud o that explanation…I think it’s also a good explanation of why, beyond Dunbar’s number, anarchy begins to destabilize…and below Dunbar’s number makes the common defense against larger groups difficult

…the primary value of a system of govt, imho, is the common defense…and as long as the burden of govt doesn’t exceed the value of the common defense it “works”…it’s when the burden becomes excessive for the citizens that “bad things” happen

…spoiler alert: govt is very aware of this dynamic😳
