I’ve been test driving new churches. I haven’t been to one regularly in about 10 years. This morning I sat in a new place. Before service began, they played a video that gave all the numbers of decisions so far this year. 2 very slow songs and then a pastor comes up and starts talking about how awesome they are.

I stood up and walked right out the door. I’m not there to hear you sell the church to your members. I’m there for something completely different and they don’t seem to address that.
