In the #monero vs #bitcoin flames both sides are mixing #value and #price. One is subjective and the other objective.

If one gets x $ for y coins that’s the price and that’s objective no matter its fair.

A different story is the value certain coin has for one’s specific case. I might want to use as a store of value a coin that assures fungibility and privacy over another coin that doesn’t
