I was thinking the same thing

Every journey is different. I guess a lot of a maxi’s temperament is related to the timing of their first “all-in” moment. I fell hard pretty much immediately after mine…spent several years DCAing and advocating with all my heart…and touched $109k when ripe cycles would have been approaching $175k.

I guess success (or happiness) is reality minus expectations…but - no - I did not enjoy touching $109k and then falling back down to $78k…I expected a lot more return for the volatility we have endured (based on past cycles’ performance.)

we've done this so many times that I just assume it's part of the journey. The destruction of a monetary system was never going to be an easy ride.

Exactly.

Every time bitcoin goes up in USD, I get a little stronger. It reminds me what we're doing (replacing a monetary system and building power as sovereign individuals). The dips are almost meaningless in that context. Bitcoin will eventually go up again and my power will increase by some incremental measure. The first time I was able to say no to vax mandates. Then I bought my property in the country. Then I was able to move my family out of the city. Who knows what this time will bring.

Nah…that’s not enough to make it worth the volatility from $65 down to $16k.

Bitcoin’s 4-year Sharpe Ratio has become very pedestrian. Need some serious upside to compensate for the volatility. That’s just prudent investing. I’m gonna bitch until bitcoin behaves the way it is programmed to behave.

fair enough. I've been able to make some pretty radical decisions bc of the ride up from 3,500 to 100k. No complaints here from me.
