Sending someone a meaningless amount of BTC lets say via a zap on NOSTR sure that’s fine .. but why would I send someone or pay for something with a meaningful amount of my BTC when I know it will be worth more in the future?

It is literally counterintuitive for me to spend my bitcoin in 95% of scenarios

Life changing event , paying off house major things like that I get it completely but other than that it only makes sense to spend fiat

I have that thought, but buy a few buck in sats each week just to have fun with!

I agree with that

It all depends on you I guess. I’ve bought books, meat, meetup tickets, VPN services and hardware in Bitcoin and it fucking rocks.

Sometimes you time it right in the short term when number goes up, but when it’s flat I try to replenish what I’ve spent. I’ve also spent near the ass bottom of a bear markets.

But, the fact is, I don’t have a lot of purchasing power in fiat dollars compared to the corn stack. And I’d 100% rather transact on the best fucking monetary network online without the fuckery of credit card kyc form submissions bullshit where you essentially dox yourself time and time again.

Just use XMR

You do you

People will use it more like a savings vehicle than a currency up until people no longer want to accept fiat as payment and I don’t see a problem with that. Even if that remains the case forever, it’s still something I’ll hold onto tightly.

But I think people will prefer bitcoin over fiat for payments when their fiat is hyper inflated and/or volatility and fiat-numerated gains in bitcoin level out.
