This is what I currently use..I’m on Damus..though I’m not sure if I do need this much relays really..any tips?

Not really. I've tried out some paid relays and I think having 2 paid relays plus the client's relay is perfectly enough. Also felt a bit faster.
Use a Blastr instance, the official one is wss://nostr.mutinywallet.com. Be sure to disable reading from it
