Recently my car was damaged by a parking garage attendant. I thought I'd do the "right thing" and report it to the insurance carrier, just in case the garage wouldn't pay for the damage.

Turns out that even though I didn't file a claim against my own policy, the #insurance company cited that report when they raised my rate.
