Could someone help me to wrap my head around this? It seems to me that the author made a mistake, but anyway:

1. Why it is 29 when it’s clearly 24 max?

2. Where did that 7 come from? Why 7?

3. Do these arguments have any chance of being true?

1. yes, that's a mistake

2. you start with 100% = 100BTC (just for easy math). You half those 100 BTC 7 times and you end up with 0.78. so it a reduction around 99%

the real question for number 2 has to be, why 99%?

I don't know the answer to this either
