I wondered why the ride up was so easy; tail wind. Gonna be unfun on the ride back.

Enjoy your unfun 😂

Wind makes a HUGE difference biking. Basically like continually biking uphill.

Yes. I am challenging myself to ride no-hands (which was easier on my two previous bikes), this bike is looser in the steering/handlebars, so it does not roll as true at lower speeds. The max time I can go no-hands is 6 seconds, before the front wheel eta sideways. High speed is necessary, also really difficult in a head wind.

The hard headwind on the way home is my favorite part. I smile through it. Enjoy!

The workout is great, my knees do not agree.

I, kayaking, always pushed out against the wind so that my return was easier. Still, once in a while, I would get caught in a thunderstorm if I went out for miles. This was always in a protected waterway but still I had to push myself back.

Yes. We enjoy canoeing/paddling upstream and floating back down. It is a reward for all the previous workout paddling against the current.
