That is the actual shape of the planet. Not only to visualise gravitational field. Its called oblate spheroid or geoid lumpy earth is not a shape.
The earth is the most round sphere on earth.

its not a sphere for sure, it is very smooth though. smoother than a bowling balls surface.
*if that ball was earth size
missed a very important detail there lol
