I really enjoy listening to nostr:npub15dqlghlewk84wz3pkqqvzl2w2w36f97g89ljds8x6c094nlu02vqjllm5m but I’ve never heard someone ask his thoughts on the US government interfering with the #Bitcoin protocol.

If a Coinbase loses customer funds, would the US, assuming it also held #btc, pressure the miners to approve a fork to make investors/custodians whole? If so, how would the world react and which fork would be chosen?

I believe Fred Thiel of Marathon touched on this once about miners being elephants, horses, and rabbits. If most US miners are elephants, they can’t hide and they’re easy to capture. If there are more miners that are horses and rabbits (fast and can hide), then the #plebs have a chance.

Fork away, I know what chain I’m using. If a bunch of fiat rich people want to pretend they have a say and make their own pretend Bitcoin…. Addios.

Then I’ll sell their fork and buy more bitcoin.

While that’s good for you, I’m curious his opinion as a hardcore bitcoiner who also runs the largest corporate holder of bitcoin in the world.
