Yes, that's correct. Since the pubkey in NIP-17 gift wrap events is randomized to hide the sender, enabling WoT will reject these events. You can create an allow rule to accept all 1059 events.

once this has auth, itll make spinning up a relay for community, family, anything incredibly powerful (already is without it). So cool, thanks for your work.

Thanks! Auth will be implemented in the reverse proxy service, it's already in development. LAN access shouldn't need auth, right? What do you think?
