If Core is truly doing it to decentralize, then I can give them credit for good intentions. But I see people who are obviously bad actors in this space, like nostr:nprofile1qqs0w2xeumnsfq6cuuynpaw2vjcfwacdnzwvmp59flnp3mdfez3czpsprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumr0wpczuum0vd5kzmp0ksxxx2 on their side, and that tells me its totally untrustworthy. And look at all the monero tards suddenly on Core's side, that's a thing I'm seeing too.

I'm personally not worried about feds coming for my node. What I am worried about is it suddenly being impossible to orange pill anyone because of the stigma. Also a little worried about what could be more easily built on bitcoin with this. Idk, but it can't all be good. Its totally possible for bitcoin to "win" in every sense and still lose the purpose. There will be wallets that report everything directly to the government. There will be facial id correlated with transactions to pinpoint who owns what addresses. This stuff is coming. The real fight hasn't even started, and I just don't want to give them any wins when bitcoiners are still utterly unprepared and utterly naive about what we're squaring off against.
