If you want to cut global population by half people wanting kids isn't part of the agenda. For everything else there will be universal income with an expiration date
This is pretty much only happening in developed nations where they’ve turned housing in to money. So if the goal is to cut the world’s population in half, we’ll they’re going to fall 90% short because Asia and Africa and LATAM are still having kids and growing their populations for the most part.
The financially strained would always prefer cash over stuff.
It just would make for a boring custom to gift cash back and forth.
