shadow banning on nostr

is worse than on x

it is dishonest on nostr. weak communist jack who banned everyone including a sitting president(felony of treason and election interference) for not hailing his communism idiocy, funds all developers of all nostr activities. he and his small communist group tells the developers who to shadowban (not showing content or banning from nostr websites). of course they use an algo. same as x.

they say it is free from banning or censorship. you can start your own nostr website and control it. sure but you can also start your own website like the crapbook or x, a centralized website and control it. for both you need to operate your own webserver which needs to be running 24*7. and you need to have a lot of computing power (which gets cheaper and cheaper).

theoretically it is a good idea to make something decentralized and censorship resistant. same idea as btc. but in reality both have become centralized and controlled by a few rich people who can censor.

the same concept of jack's ocean or the other jack's centralized wallets. the centralized, proprietary ocean mining pool does not make btc mining decentralized.

many nostr websites suck: be it iris,snort,primal etc . they do not show content of other people, you have to click on global every time, even then you do not see what other people have posted, you do not see likes most of the time, you do not see private messages for months, it does not allow to post messages or even youtube. and many times it just does not show you anything. it is completely messed up so bad that i do not want to use it any more. incapable developers? shadowbanning? x works like a charm compared. everything works all the time. there is also shadowbanning taking place but you get much more information out of it. there is hardly any good information coming from nostr, all good information comes from 3-4 accounts, all others are NPCs, communists haling the current thing (not posting it but not reacting to information showing the crimes going on).

i give up on trying to wake up NPCs and i will just use monero

Alright, kind of agree kind of not.

Nostr is ran on "relays" not on "sites". Those "sites", sadly, are becoming the main way to access nostr. Furtunately they are not the only way to access nostr. There are clients like Amethyst (on android) and Damus (on IOS) which AFAIK don't censor anything. They just allow you to interact with relays.

"What are relays?" I hear you ask. Well this is the decentralized part of nostr. Everyone uploads their posts on relays for other users to see. Every time you make a post you upload it to a list of relays. Yes, relay admins can decide to not allow someone to post to their relays but that doesn't mean that the user is banned from using other relays.

You can choose to pull posts from as many relays as possible so you get the posts from as many people as possible without worrying about someone getting shadow banned or completely banned.

You can also choose to use other client if you worry that a certain client is censoring.
