I think that's what communities are for. If it is something you have put thought into about a particular topic, post it there. They are like Reddit, but your post also shows on your followers feed. They are very quiet. I'm not sure how many clients have implemented them yet. They appeared about a week or two ago on Amethyst
Everything is organic here. If something goes viral here, it's because it strikes a chord with the audience.
What does boosting mean?
People will catch a recent post on my profile and then start scrolling down my profile checking out previous posts. I think there has to be a critical mass of followers before what you post has much millions to go viral. Also, the rules here are different than insta or twitter and the user practices will have to evolve. Most of the folks here are reluctant to interact in a way that the platform can track an mine the data. That’s not a concern here and user engagement is the ONLY way things spread (until a client starts aggregating likely wanted posts).
