Be very cautious about this if crossing blue states, especially NY, CA or anywhere in the northeast USA. Each state has different laws. NY considers a gun loaded even if the gun is actually unloaded and you just have ammunition in the same bag/piece of luggage, and they’ll slap you with a felony. Best piece of advice: lock it up unloaded in sept rate container from ammo and other accessories, and don’t get pulled over.
