The conventional thought was it was two of each creature but when one explores this in more detail.
They will find there was the clean creatures (of which can be eaten), and the unclean creatures (of which cannot be consumed).
There was Seven Pairs of Clean animals, and only one pair of The Unclean animals.
That would be 14 of every clean species, and only 2 of every unclean animal.
That is to indicate The Almighty's divine intention, that even if Noah, or his family were as so tempted to eat an unclean animal then it would be permanently erase that animal forever.
The Almighty gave Noah, and his family abundant clean animals to sustain themselves.
This indicates that both
1. Animals can be eaten.
2. Only certain types of animals ought to be consumed.
