I see sailfish can run android apps, which is half of the problem with it, I'm just preparing for the off chance that grapheneOS is not accessible in the future 😛

Sounds exciting! I’ll definitely have a look at it in the future. In my circle, there’s a bit of geeky hype around Fairphone, but it’s probably more about the hardware and repairability than /e/OS itself. Still, it might be worth checking out as another potential fallback in case anything happens to GrapheneOS (although I think that they are doing nust fine). Unfortunately, the Android custom ROM scene isn’t as diverse or exciting as it used to be.
Sandboxed Google play is way ahead of microG in terms of compatibility, I'm considering getting an Android to test out lineage or /e/OS or a Linux phone, none of them look as good though
Lineage is perfectly fine. I've been using it for years.
MicroG works for everything necessary. If something doesn't work with it, you don't want to be using it at all, IMO.
