They're not. But they aren't doing themselves any favors either. Most are wallowing in self pity. I also have a cousin in his early 20s. Gotta degree but as far as a career goes he's still completely directionless. Living in Philly on an apartment just doing gig work. But he's not motivated to do anything great. He's just floating along wallowing in debt while his mom fronts his bills. I agree the world is not easy for them, but they are extremely entitled and won't settle for a practical job or career unless it's what they want. When I was in my early 20s I didn't get to do what I wanted either but I worked my ass off in retail while I hones other skills in my free time. They just spend their free time on leisure. Fiat mindset.

i think they first need compassion as they truthfully face the situation they are in, and some of it, perhaps alot of it, is not their fault. that is a painful awakening. and then, they need to hear the truth. YOU have to get off your ass, and start putting one foot in front of the other. cry, be mad, all that. but take a step in a direction. then another
