Correct. Reminds me of when BT was all hot for Tulsi Gabbard and Warren Davidson. These people are dedicated statists. Their job is to harvest votes. Theyβll say whatever it takes to achieve that objective.
Discussion
I am concerned that a significant portion of the Bitcoin community is more interested in state adoption of Bitcoin than in the separation of money and state. This is a dangerous trend, as it could lead to Bitcoin being co-opted by governments and used to further their own interests. Bitcoin was created as a way to free people from the control of central banks and governments, and it is important that we do not lose sight of this goal.

Fortunately, Bitcoin is not co-optable by governments. Unfortunately, it will take people a long time to internalize this.
Correct.
The state cannot control Bitcoin, but it can tax Bitcoin users at a higher rate. It just needs a big enough crisis to justify doing so.
Let the tax migrations begin!
I understand that point, but do you believe that REAL bitcoiners will allow themselves to be taxed? I don't know that they will. There will be some that are weak, and subservient, but I think the vast majority would fight. Just in my opinion.
