Nature created mechanisms to guide us: when we behave destructively and inefficiently, we feel bad; when we behave beneficially, we feel good. So, when we feel bad, we know we need to change our behavior to feel good again. This is the natural process that guides us toward survival and reproduction.
But nowadays, we are tricked by drugs and cheap pleasures. Even when we behave poorly, we take drugs and feel good, so we don’t realize we need to change our behavior. This leads to degradation and destruction.
Sadness, depression, apathy, fear, worry, anger, and other ‘negative’ emotions are there to guide us toward a brighter future. Stop numbing and confusing yourself with pleasure, or it may be too late!
