I have an old 401K from a former employer. Doing anything with it is stupidly difficult and retarded.
It’s mind boggling that people think this is a legitimate savings or retirement vehicle.

It’s usually on purpose. Employers negotiate bulk deals and overlook the ridiculous fees that are passed to employees. Then it is made super difficult to access or manage on purpose so you don’t move your funds.
I believe it. Trying to move 401K money has been horrifically difficult.
