I'd take the other side of that. But I have no idea how that could be checked.
It's so nice that this can't be verified.
👍 Take out my node's channel rebalancing & I'm confident that I've sent more value to LN URL addresses than bolt 11 invoices.
Before 2023 I'd barely used an LNURL. They were in the same (nice to have) category as paynyms in my mind. A cool solution with limited use cases.
I didn't realise how important, having a static & private LN payment address was. It's a game changer not requiring permission from the recipient to send them a payment. To send them a payment anonymously.
LNURL showed us how important that was. I'm grateful that it was ready & waiting for Nostr.
I would prefer to use bolt 12 addresses & decrease the reliance on centralised solutions (including DNS).
