Homeschoolers vastly overestimate how much attention kids actually pay in school.
Discussion
Really?
I think they know more than anyone how little attention kids in school pay.
Dude, I keep seeing borderline religious notes about how your kids are going to hell if they go to a public school. Quite annoying to say the least.
If people choose to homeschool; great. 👍 but stop trying to make others feel like shit that they aren’t.
Ptobably depends a lot which country you live at. But when public schools do not educate well it is very important to invest there I would say.
Offense is taken, not given. 🫂
Forcing any views on anyone is bullshit. That goes for bitcoin and nostr too.
Everyone needs to do what's best for them at a given time. We've worldschooled and homeschooled; and now our kids are back in state school. This might change again, or might not.
Good use of mute functionality I suppose
Homeschooling is not for everyone
You need discipline and planning every step. My younger siblings were homeschooled and they consider that it was a lost on one hand - the social aspect - although a won on the other - the attachment and relationship with parents/siblings.
I think it's mainly a reaction against State-run schools, which are never, nowhere, a good idea.
Homeschooling is the way to go. Easier said than done, mainly with peoples judgement…
Loving it so far. Lots to learn!
We figured 30 mins of actual learning per day was being generous.
Homeschooling and/or small-community-initiated schooling is the way to go =3
