I stopped updating most apps that don't have a proper changelog. I'm calling that my "no changelog, no update" policy. An app is only excluded if it publishes a changelog in any way (such as Discord's "What's new" section, though I don't use Discord that often; or FOSS apps for which I know the git repo.)

I don't even read them most of the time, but I find the ability to do so rather pleasant.

Yeah I like the chill vibes from a casual dev or small group doing a fun side project, and learning a bit even from the level of detail GitHub changelogs go into. It's always appreciated by me, especially when devs do it on mobile updates they know most devices just automatically install anyway. They still wanna cover that small percentage who read the changelogs.
