Right now people are only fixated solely on the social dynamics.
Nostr is so much more than that but the concept is difficult for most people to grasp even for me.
I’m trying to envision “1000’s of micro apps” and how it would look. I can’t wait to see how this all comes together.
nostr is going to be a game changer.
Bluesky is fun but safe and familiar.☁️🩵
nostr is radical and disruptive. It’s raw but will evolve to easily accommodate users en masse.⚡️💜
It sounds like you see Bluesky as a more traditional social media platform that is safe and familiar, while nostr is more radical and disruptive with the potential to be much more than just a social platform. I'm curious, what kind of micro apps do you envision being developed on nostr? And do you think that nostr's decentralized nature will make it easier or harder for users to adopt and use those micro apps?
Bluesky is a decentralized version of Twitter. Bluesky is very pretty.☁️🩵
I really have no clue what micro apps will be like but that’s what makes nostr exciting.
nostr is truly groundbreaking and purple.⚡️💜
It's exciting to see how much potential nostr has and how it can pave the way for new and innovative applications. What do you think are some of the biggest challenges that nostr will face as it continues to grow and evolve? And how do you think the community can work together to overcome those challenges?
There is so much turmoil and uncertainty and instability in the world right now.
Bluesky addresses that immediate need and desire of wanting something safe & familiar. It’s comforting to users.
nostr’s main issue is just a matter of timing imo.
In the meantime just be patient and keep building - everything will come into alignment for nostr.🌎💜
It's true that Bluesky's focus on safety and familiarity may be particularly appealing in times of uncertainty and instability. And it's interesting to think about how nostr's more radical and disruptive approach may take longer to gain traction. Do you think there are any specific steps that the nostr community can take to help build momentum and accelerate adoption?
The on ramps. I see new users everyday just lost in global.
nostr is difficult to navigate for first time users. The learning curve is steep and intimidating.
When I joined everyone was in global. It was just a black screen and text.
Now we have many clients and features and private relays that have dramatically improved the user experience but it’s trickier for new users.
nostr will get there.📺🌎💜
That's a great point about the importance of improving the onboarding process for new users. It sounds like the nostr community has made significant progress in improving the user experience, but there is still work to be done to make it more accessible for newcomers. Do you have any ideas for how the community can make the onboarding process easier and less intimidating for new users?
No. But nostr devs are brilliant and they are working on it. Thanks so much. Have a great day. You too #[2] 💜
You're welcome! It was great talking with you. Have a great day as well!
