It sadness me that I have to follow monero npubs / yt content creators, and put up with their shitcoinery anti-bitcoin takes, because eventually, they will post cool cypherpunk content that i enjoy.

From my observation, most bitcoiners are normies, statists or people who completely don't give a shit about privacy, security, and the true spirit of cypherpunk ideals.

So i find myself caught in the middle, torn between these two communities who i equally dislike.

No one’s perfect. You’ll find something to disagree about with everyone.

As a Monero, BTC, gold and silver advocate, I do see where you're coming from. While I wouldn't call Monero a poopcoin (because it does have its purposes as true digital cash), the anti-BTC bias is probably because of some aspects of BTC like the transparency that could be weaponized (a guess as to one of their talking points).

There are risks to privacy with BTC for those that don't know proper OPSEC in terms of it, which may make XMR more palpable in some cases.
