I blame Damus for missing this gem of a post. My following count keeps dropping and you got caught up in it.

Is it the government? Is Nostr censoring?

It’s tough, no algo to keep posts that are being liked at the top. Trade off of freedom, that’s what I sometimes repost myself

Also, follower count can be completely dependent on your relays. I don’t even check follower count bc it’s an unreliable measurement. I used to have 3000 followers here now it only shows 1000.

Who I’m following is what I check. Not followers.

Those get dropped constantly & then I miss out on some gems.

It’s relays for sure and also different clients I think. Who knows.

And most of them are inactive dead "accounts" anyways.

It would be nice to see the last post (activity) date for each npub in the lists (following, followers...) so one could easily unfollow the dead ones. And also estimate the active followers for the ones who care about it.

I don’t know if it’s most or just some but agree on that view to see last posts.

I keep who I am following pretty clean but definitely some 8mo ago post accounts on there.

I experimented with following a lot of people here. What I get is a better version of global.

I’ve been here long enough to remember the early days of Global. That place scares me and not much does:)

I avoid it.

As nostr lost most users, global got much less... "filthy". The last time I checked it, it was 90% bitcoin...
