Yes on separate deprime.

Dry media tumbling is a slightly less annoying process, but never in an enclosed space due to lead dust potential.

Wet tumbling requires you to be extra diligent to ensure there are no pins in the primer pockets.

I find myself just wet tumbling prior to depriming and not worrying about dirty primer pockets.

Right on! For high volume loading I think that makes lots of sense. For precision-type loads with this many steps I figure I will find the pins. I also use the tumbling chips I heard about from Jerry Miculek. They seem to come out well.
