It is very clear that you believed he would defederate you if you used his name in your post. It is also very clear that you could have attempted to make your very same point without using his name. Therefore, you were clearly not very interested in arranging things so that your post would be more likely to experience critical engagement.

I believe that he then concluded this was because your post was just your own subjective opinion, that even you know it can't stand up to challenges, and that there is therefore nothing of value that would be lost from defederating you.

This last paragraph is all just speculation unfortunately. The worst part about blockers and muters and defederators is that their beliefs are some of the ones I most want to engage with, but that their beliefs are also the ones that I am least likely to be able to engage with.
