Meh. Comes down to licensing.

Licenses aren’t written in stone, Gary. Those changed all the time, usually for the benefit of the company.

By switching to a closed (or less open) license these companies don’t really see much of a boost on their profits though so it’s just mostly a middle finger to anyone who contributed freely, really.
