Really impossible for normies to use even if it’s cool … i did not even get the if this meant without internet access or off the layer 1 chain.??!? ⛓️‍💥

Well I'd dare call it layer 2.5

It uses lightning, but I don't think it's really another layer in and of it itself.

Ok. And 2 parties can use it without having any kind of connection to the internet 🛜 ? Basically using mobile phones with broken wifi components and no sim cards?
