Use a box with a pin hole over white paper. It works. Simple optical solution. You change the focus by going in or out from the paper.
Thats way cooler!

Way cooler than permanent eye damage? No way!
To be clear, i'll be staring at the sun AND doing the pin hole thing
Only pinhole one eye so your pipals dilate and you can achieve a permanent blind spot quicker in the other. It'll be like you're ALWAYS looking at an eclipse out of that eye afterwards!
