How accurate is this

Holy shit noticing how long engagement on memes has been today as well as timeline looks incredibly slow I think it might be
Low*** fawk
Haha have u noticed a big drop? I had to go off it for a week - things got busy!
There must be something Iβm not understanding here.. maybe this works like google analytics, like I wonβt see the results until the week is over in this case idk anything to excuse that huge drop
#[1]β #[2]β #[3]β #[4]β #[5] #[6] #[7]β #[8]β #[9]β anybody know if it is accurate or if I can find a more accurate way of seeing nostr stats
I remember #[12]β saying that some agents are very heavy on the relays so they stop them and stats arenβt collected for them. So it may be representational but not accurate
Nvm donβt answer, I know itβs not accurate π₯² just curious where I can find accurate data, dm if anything so we donβt bother the other ppl tagged π«
Also the drop at the end means no data itβll be the same for all days whenever you check , it doesnβt mean 0 DAU.
So from 3/28 forward there hasnβt been data ? Or does it work like google analytics which batches it n itβll show up at the end of the week, not a real-time counter
Iβm not sure how it actually works. I just know from checking the stats multiple times that the stats for the last few days are always 0, but when you check again a few days later they get updated, but then the recent ones are 0.
I think accurate analytics will always be hard on nostr as there is no global state, keys and events could be on relays that youre not looking at
U know if anyone is building anything that aggregates all the data from every single of the 400+ relays & somehow makes it look nice in some analytics dashboard
I don't. But part of the issue with that is fetching the large query's that would be required for that is expensive for the relays that are already struggling with the load and will likely just get blocked. So any solution like that would have to account for that. A possible better solution is each relay running analytics and publishing stats of course this is trusting the relay is being honest about it's stats. I expect we will see more accurate stat tools exist as people love numbers and tracking things especially as companies come in, but I think bc of nostrs design there will always be a higher degree of uncertainty.
