The pipe was at $1.12 so it basically traded down to the pipe price where 750 million sits.

My take: Shenanigans that always come with early IPO and major mergers. Early money exits in whole or part, new money enters on fomo and headlines, smart money v dumb money, then shake out the weak and revalue to market balance, etc.

Probably sound advice. Let these things season for 6-12 months and consider only once the market has worked in a few cycles of price discovery.
