But does this imply that those who possess the majority of Bitcoin also dictate or ‘control’ its allocation and future monetization?

At the end of the day, the people with the monopoly of violence will control what they want until they can’t.

Possessing bitcoin doesn’t give you power over the protocol. But if you can point a gun to the heads of those in your jurisdiction and say “bitcoin belongs to the state, you use this paper money” or whatever, then yeah. They control the monetization within that jurisdiction to some degree.

This is just meat-space reality. Wish it wasn’t so, but nature is nature.
