(WARNING: this post contains strawmin, not real quotes, i'm just trying to illustrate a point 🖼️🖌️)

i think there are two common schools of thought in our world:

A.

"Bitcoin should be adopted/regulated by government/banks, people should use 'easy to grasp' apps like custodial wallets or the centralized + KYC signal chat, and we should link npubs to Google Account/Government ID"

i'll categorize the above mindset as "freedom technology should change to accommodate society"

B.

"Bitcoin should spread in a way that aligns with it's ideals, people should take the time to use/learn decentralized apps even if it's harder, and we should reject de-anonymization"

on the other hand, i'll categorize this mindset as "society should change to accommodate freedom technology"

---

when you use mindset A, you are led to a society no different that today (albeit with different names). maybe following this mindset will lead to making bitcoin investors happy in the short term, but not real bitcoiners.

if you are rejecting the idea that things are correct as they are, you must follow mindset B to enact lasting change.

The cool part is these are both real. One is not winning over the other. Because of the existence of freedom technology, people have a rechoice to adopt it or not. The sad part is most people will opt into mindset a for convieince. That's just a reality I come to terms with. But I have hope for the future because without freedom tech, my children wouldn't have the choice.

I somewhat agree with both statements.

Leaning more towards B.
