I think it was built for this very purpose.
But why, to end the banks?
In order to install cbdc's the commercial banks need to be out of the picture, bankrupt. Fed introduces high rates, keeps hiking, introduces FedNow, banks die, people panic, Fed saves the people with a cbdc.
