Today (at my fiat job) we're raising $1.39MM in community financing to help a company in Bristol Bay, AK called Circle Seafoods build a mobile salmon processing barge.

The barge will be out-fitted with flash-freezers, storage, and ice production to help fishers out on the water sell their catch at peak quality (fresh from the sea) and for a premium.

We launched two hours ago and have raised over $905k!!

This community lending model is a great way for communities and businesses that need access to capital to bypass big banks. Community lenders earn the return as opposed to giant financial institutions.
