Slightly tangentially related, I always found people who pursue money or wealth for it's own sake to be confusing, later in life I realized why. They're the most unimaginative people, they don't know what to do with themselves so they do that, they want to have bigger ambitions because that's what cool people do so they just try make a number bigger. Of course most of them are failures.
Wealth is not easy to generate by any means, but it is very doable if you understand why you want it. If you need it to accomplish something important to you, if you pursue it not for it's own sake but as a tool to self actualize and make your vision or will reality, it is very much easier to formulate a strategy and stick to your morals in the process. Those people are usually very interesting to me, and unless their goals are things I'm morally vehemently opposed to, I usually have great respect and admiration for them. Even then though, I do seek to understand them as much as possible.
