It looks like Nostr connection is strong - everyone tried out new SNS together 😅 while checking Nostr parallely

Nostr was used as a "Meta SNS" in the Japanese community, and there was an active sharing of information on other SNSs 👀

Ah okay 😊 Japanese users use SNS so differently than global users (it's more open sharing, people post everyday stuff, NSFW is okay as long as it's opt-in, air replies). It feels like good warm community (I'm a bit jealous 😜)

Are there villages in other SNS also?

As far as I know there are no other villages, but I don't know if this is a good thing...

This village exists because a small number of users must cooperate with each other to use nostr. Bluesky started out as a "village" like here, but soon the community grew in number and quickly became a twitter-like "city"

I feel comfortable here, but at the same time I'm feeling trapped🫨

Got it 😊 I only interact with Japanese users -- I don't know why, maybe because I'm not into Bitcoin 🤷

When Kamakura-san moves to Threads it will be a city...

😂

Fediverse is the federation of big/small servers like Mastodon, Pleroma and Misskey. So there should be village-like, small communities like ours. It's just that you never know until you come across to it.

Thanks for letting me know 😊

There are small communities for sure, but I've not seen many willing to attend off-meetings, virtual games & drawing sessions, knowledge-sharing sessions like on Japanese Nostr.

I was just curious if that was common

I agree, it's not common to hold off-meetings for social-media nerdies like me.

But tech people, especially GOOD ones, are accustomed to attend programming-related meet-ups and events. Even if they have never met, they already have something in common.

On top of that, we can get together at Yotsuya Lab sort of like a base, and have a gread host: Kojira-san!

What's Yotsuya lab?

And 💯 agree about Kojira-san. I don't know how he has that much energy 😅
