so many things on nostr make me glad.

i'm glad there is no algorithm to appeal to.

i'm glad this isn't an advertiser-friendly platform.

i'm glad that everyone can be themselves.

with that said, now i'm curious about why people post.

i was never concerned with becoming an "influencer" or making money through socials so, i know my reasons:

1. to connect with likeminded people and bring hope; if even one person feels less alone knowing there is another FOSS zealot in the world, i've done my job

2. to put my thoughts and feelings into writing; i journal too, but nostr feels different somehow

3. to help others; i hope my posts might teach you something new, provide you with a different perspective, show you a neat FOSS tool, or even answer an asknostr question

so why are you here? why do you post?

I'm an "other stuff" maxi. This social stuff is good, mostly, but eventually inconsequential when nostr surplants the entire legacy DARPAinspired command and control architecture.
