I just did a cull and I went with one brand, all the others went in the recycling

I trashed lids and containers that didn’t match. Sorted out some stuff to give away, like travel mugs. We don’t have a recycling system anywhere near but these are years old so got a lot of reuse.
my mom and I also recently went through our collection of containers and realized that we could get rid of many of them. the ones that worth keeping are the most conviniet sizes and the glass ones, which by the way are way more durable
With all the kids, and grands iff doing their own thing now I don’t cook like I used to. No need for so many duplicates. I have plenty of glass storage ware. Most of my plastics are from restaurants.
I’m slowly replacing them with glass ones. plastic containers turn into Petri dishes rather quickly 🧫🔬
I have done that with a lot of my older Tupperware and Rubbermaid stuff. Finding the covers for my glass are breaking down. Glass isn’t travel friendly so not good for Mr. Holstein’s lunch. Most of my plastics now are from restaurants where I take home or get carry out.
