I came across this quote:

"Do not wait for conditions to be perfect to begin. Beginning makes conditions perfect."

I've been thinking about that. I don't agree with the second part, since the beginning of most things is a mess as you flounder about learning as you go, but, the quote has me pondering the power of taking even the tiniest step to do something.

While pondering this, another concept I've heard of came to mind: that of the fact that we are actually time travelers. In fictional stories (as far as I'm aware), if someone jumps back in time, they worry about altering the timeline by even the most inconsequential seeming action. You and I have the power to change our whole future, and thus have a powerful impact on the future of the world, especially when it comes to ourselves and how we interact with the world directly around us, where we have the most influence.

Both of the above concepts brought this final thought to mind:

"The future will be kind, for I shall create it." (I'm not exactly sure If I'm quoting it 100% correctly.)

Create a future that is kind to yourself. Small steps can be very powerful.

This was beautifully written Beave and a pleasure to read ☺️🫂

Thank you, Eshara. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I want to bookmark this and come back to it when I'm off these painkillers. I have thoughts, but I can't write them out very well :/

Thank you. I'll be waiting.

This is my take on it. Imagine you need to cross a river, but there is no bridge. You can sit and wait, but the "perfect moment" of a boatman coming along and helping you out is a slim possibility. Your condition is far from perfect.

But say the other bank is in sight, and you have at least some skill in building with your hands. If you start to build a raft now, you are actively changing your starting condition. If you keep working on your raft, you'll start seeing new "perfect moments" come into the realm of possibilities that are much easier to manifest. A simple raft with a row just needs the perfect current. A raft with a sail just needs the perfect wind conditions. A raft with a row, a sail and a rudder doesn't need for much at all besides your own skill.

By beginning, by putting in work in a hard situation, you can eventually make your conditions perfect to achieve your goal.

As they say, luck favors the prepared. So always be working, and fortune will smile upon you.

I'd add:

When you're in the process of building your raft, you may end up with building a bridge. Because you meet other ppl who either help or pay you to cross the river.

Also yes!

Yes. 1000% yes!

As an entrepreneur I agree with this. There won’t be a perfect time and waiting is time wasted refining your processes and building your stack.

“Being an entrepreneur is like jumping off a cliff and building the plane on your way down.”

I understand that. I tried one and failed. I might try again in the future, but at least I tried once.

Good on ye, going for it is a win in my opinion.

I fully committed and failed once too but I’ve had a successful company too and I’m building another right now. Jury still out but looking promising. Needs another hard year of building.

I wish you the best of success with your endeavors!

Thank you ser Beave. So far, so good.

You're welcome!

As a big scifi fan I thoroughly enjoyed your theory. You reminded me of Steve Caroll and theory of multiverse. If you can listen to him at Joe Rogan's, I highly recommend it. Just having a renowned physicist ponder over how every decision creates two realities sent small chills down my spine.

I'm familiar, but I also don't believe in a multiverse. I believe this is the only reality, as the wave function always collapses in the now, and, consequently, why I don't belive that time travel, in the sense of us jumping through time, a la H. G. Wells, is possible.

It sure is fun thinking about it, though.

Again, for my scifi side it's porn😁

I get it. Unrealistic but highly stimulating... 😁

Maybe the mess is actually Perfection.

No.

No, but it is a wakeup call to tidy up our houses.

Yes.
