Took the kids for a walk through Tolderol Game Reserve, on the edge of Lake Alexandrina.

Good hours walking, came across eight Red-Bellied Black Snakes (Pseudechis porphyriacus), some that slithered on the path in front of us for a long time, before shooting off into the reeds.

Also saw two Shinlgeback Lizards, a Bluetongue Lizard, hawks and falcons.

Looks like a nice location! I’ll have to go there one day although I’m not too keen on coming across the snakes..

Never seen so many in one place, sometimes they were in pairs. There are well defined tracks, that are clear and safe, the smaller paths, although interesting, are covered in grass and a bit sketchy with that many snakes.
