They really resent that Scripture pins the murder on them as a people. It's hard to imagine race that truly believes they've never done anything bad, but jews certainly seem unable to own any wrong they've ever done

Pilate questioned the charges and wanted to let him go, and Pilate's wife even warned him to not get involved due to a vision she had, but the Jewish leaders were about to start a riot if he didn't have Jesus crucified.
